Taipei Trip- 4th Day (11th April 2010)

4th day is a little bit "Wet Day". Remove Formatting from selection

We jump start our morning as early as 9.30am with 7-11 triangle rice roll again. haha. I really fall in love with it.

Our plan today
1.) Xi Men Ding
2.) National Palace Musuem
3.) Shi Lin Night Market
4.) Spicy steamboat (Ma Lak Huo Guo)

Xi Men Ting
You can find the most updated fashion here. Price is not too cheap, but reasonable if you know how to negotiate.

Snack is great here.

National Palace Musuem
Historical place and good for our chinese history knowledge. My dear enjoyed the antique for different Dynasty there. For those below age 30, please get a Youth Travel Card at the Tourist Information Counter at Airport, you'll get 50% discount here.

I applied, but dear left it at the hotel. Argh, we spent additional TWD160 here...geramnya. But, he get what he deserved, few punch from me and he returned it with thousands applogise.
Well, as usual, you are not allowed to take photo inside the musuem.

Shi Lin Night Market
We just had a quick walk at the night market as we will be there again the next day. So, I just had a meat roll, which is terribly hard. Not recommended. Hehe. Well, I looked superb tired in the picture, what a eventful day I've gone through.

Spicy steamboot ("Tian Shang Tian" at Ming Quan Xi Lu station)

The buffet steamboot is around TWD430 per person, but the variety is great, the seafood is very fresh. And the ice cream provided is from Hagen-Daz. Strongly recommended.

The spicy soup is very spicy even we just orders a mild spicy range. Cant imagine how spicy is the medium spicy and the super spicy soup.

My dear miss the fresh oyster and shrimp that make him so "powerful" through out the vacation. Hehehe .^-^

Taipei Trip- 3rd Day (10th April 2010)

Great sunny day!
We woke up at 9am in the morning, but my " movie king" dear, watch the TV shows until 10 something until I start mumbling. (P/S: Taiwan has 80+ free TV channel). We went down to the MRT station and searching for breakfast venue. Finally, we ended up at 7-11. The yummy triangle rice roll.

Our first plan today is to visit the Taiwan Story Land, but we've mixed it up with Taipei Story House. It was a funny and silly misunderstanding, me and dear had an argument, luckily after asking some local people, we managed to find it.
It is at "Taipei Main Station" Z2 exit. The entrance fees is TWD 280 per adult with TWD150 voucher which you can spend for foods and souvenier in there. Taiwan Story Land is about taiwan local lifestyle at 60's and 70's. Good place, highly recommended.

We spent about 2 hours there and guess who we met when we step out the storyland. It's By 2 mini concert.

About 2pm, we headed to Sun Yat Sun memorial hall. Easily accesible by MRT. We spend about another 1.5 hours there watching the movie of Sun Yat Sun revolution, browsing some history information.

After that, we decideed to walk to 101 tower. We just use this tower as our destination mark and we walk towards it. Nothing special inside, it is like KLCC. Well, I personally think that, KLCC is better. Hehe. Then we walked out and spotted this big LOVE sign outside the tower. There are also bicycle for rent outside.

I then suggested to go to "Wu Fen Pu", we we took sometime wonder around the 101 area, before decided to jump on the MRT and headed to "Yuan San" station.
It takes another 5 minutes walking distance to arrive at Wu Fen Pu. The clothese there is all about the same but I manage to grab a piece of cloth for myself and my mum. I didnt plan for big shopping today because I knew I'll be back again on Day 5 or 6.
Then feeling hungry, we went one of the biggest night market beside Wu Fen Pu, Rao He Night Market. A lot of great food there, so dont miss it. Higly recommended "Chen Tong Pork Rib soup" and " 2 colours ice"- Mango and Stawberry ice with milk.

Taipei Trip- 2nd Day (9th April 2010)

No photo taken by ourselves on the 2nd day. =p We were too busy becoming superstars on that day.

Photo shooting session was great. We tried very hard to convince ourselves, to stay in a happy mood, no matter what happen.

Our first destination was in the "Da Tong University". Surprisingly, nobody bother to look at us. Even the U students were just passing by in front of us, but they never turn their eyeballs to peep us. "Xiang Ge", our photographer told us that, the students have seen these similar scenes more than the times they eating vegetable. Hehe.

Our following destinations, were all at "Bei Tou and Dan Shui" area.

Second destination was at the "Bei Tou" waterfall. Very nice scenary, all the rock in black colour and it is so refreshing as when you take the photo, the water mist is splashing to your body and face. Wonderful! And, it is actually my first visit to waterfall. Hehe. I have acrophobia and it was kind of unforgetful experience for me to climb up to the rock, with the long heavy gown, just for a nicer effect. (Specially thanks to Xiang Ge who gave me a helping hand by carrying me to the hard to reach site as dear was also shaking his legs standing at the slippery rocks) .What a big scarifice!=p Not to foget to mention about the jungle view opposite the waterfall. Nice!

Our third destination is actually the the oldest church in Dan Shui. We changed the clothes and make up at a public toilet just right infront of the canon park. (P/S: Taipei is a very clean city, even public toilet is as clean as your house =>). So, Xiang Ge suggested us to have some shots there. Surprisingly, the outcome was great, even better than the church view. =>

Our fourth destination is Dan Shui "Yu Ren Ma Tou". Too bad, the weather turned to become very cold and can you imagine I was wearing a night gown in 20c. The photo outcome is not very good as we've chosen a yellow gown which cannot match the scenary and my hairstyle is just..too... over. Only chose 4 photos out of the many photos we taken there.

When we headed back to the studio for the last gown shooting, it was already 5 pm. It is a close up shooting and we like the outcomes too. I think I look elegance, but some of you may think that I look too mature. Anyway, I am just lovin' it.

Photo shooting session ended at about 7pm and we had our dinner in the bridal studio. Thanks to Very Tapei for preparing us the nice dinner. Very efficient Taiwanese style, we had to choose the photo while taking our dinner.

The first thing we did is, choose the "Bed head photo" - photo to be hung on the wall above our bed frame. Dear and I, the perfect couple in the world, shared the same thought. " Just showed us the photo in White Gown, with Red Roses, in front of the Church." Can you imagine, we spoke out at the same time without discussion. I love you dear, for being the worm inside my stomache. Hehe.

Then, we had a big "HU HA" when choosing the rest of 59 poses. Another unpleasant argument, but we managed to close the deal at 10pm with a very rush pace.

We then walked to a relatively small night market for the local people, to grab some supper and we had these, Smelly Toufu and Oyster Mee Sua. Yummy. Wonderful ending for the day.

Taipei Trip-1st Day (8th April 2010)

It has been a long wait since we booked our pre-wedding photo shooting in Taiwan. Finally, the day come. But.....we have a big fight the night before.

After the fight, I cry whole night and dont even packed up my luagage. The next day, i set my alarm and woke up at 5.30am. The limousin driver arrived at 7 am, 10 minutes earlier. But I am still packing the luagage, dear told the driver to wait for a while, but after my shower it is already 7.30am. Hehe...i am "queen of last minute".
Happily, we set off..Dear hold my hand in the limousin, give me a gentle kiss on my hand and say "I'm Sorry". Well, what a great start in the morning. Along the way, the traffic get congested, it is Thursday morning, everyone rush to work, but, we are heading to airport. Wow, it make us feel even better.

Arrived airport, meeting another couple (first met friend, but get very close after that) and checked in our luagage. We discussed our travel itenary in the Mc D. Then, I realize, we are actually same speecis. "Han Ka".

It is a 4 hours boring flight in Air Asia. (the only free entertaintment is as per below)

We finally arrived at Tao Yuan airport at 2.50pm. We bought a bus ticket at TWD90 to centre of Taipei. The journey took around 1.5 hours.

Great thing is it stopped right in front of the "Love Apartment" we rent. The unlucky thing is, the owner has actually left the area as he thought we might be "no show" case as it is already 5 pm.
Feeling disappointed, at the same time, hungryness also attacking us, we have a bowl of noodles at the shop below love apartment. "Xia Jiao Mian"

After that, together with the bulky luagage, we took MRT to the bridal studio "Very Taipei" as our appointment with them is at 6pm for the gown selection and communication with the MUA and photographer. An unplesant experience, which I'll tell more in the next post.

Gosh, what a tired day, we finished at 10pm, but luckily the homestay PIC come to the bridal studio to pick us up. A very kind young man and the apartmet is impressive.

We settle our "dinner cum supper" at 7-11. But, we fall in love with the Taiwan 7-11 since then. Great varities of nice food in there.

After the dinner, we headed back to the apartment and had a great rest to prepare for the photo shooting session the following day.
