Marriage Proposal (2)

A group of T.G.I's staff coming out from the kitchen holding a cake. I never thought it was mine. Never. I told him: " you see, there is ppl sharing same birthday with me!"

Yet, they came to our place and i was forced to stand up on the chair. Singing a song and blowing the candles from a far distance. Luckily I am sporty enough. Hehe. They then sang me a birthday song and another 1..i named it "Friday's" song.

After they dismissed, he asked them to gather again at our place which i initially thought is to take photo together. When all ppl was there for us, he started his announcement. "This is the awesome thing that I have ever done in public and now, I would like all of you to become our eye-witnesses"

I was laughing and yet my mind still can't figure out what is he trying to do. I am pretty sure I was really shocked by him and I can only laugh by not thinking anything. He then knee down in front of me and starts singing:

"If I put down on my knee and pleaded with you;
If I cross million of ocean just to be with you;
Would you ever, let me down;
.........................................."

I can't hold my tears from dropping. I was really touched. I never expect this to be so soon and he will be so daring. The proposal ring was worn in my ring finger and I just hug him tight, real tight.

Marriage Proposal (1)

My Birthday Surprise!!

I am so happy and so touched. Thanks, Baby.

I can't describe the level of happiness I am having. I can't stop thinking even in the bed. I can't fall asleep as it keep replaying in my mind.

I never think he will be so daring. Kneeing down and singing in front of public. Gotten a lot of wishes from ppl around us. It was a big surprise for me. "Not so soon, not so soon". This is what always come out from his mouth. Haha, he is a big liar and yet, what a beautiful lie.

Baby..I love you and I do.

Survey Survey Survey..Money Money Money...

HEHE, I am actively involve in participating in Survey today. I am not that responsive person all the while, hehe, but I'll do it for money.

The first survey I attended is about Soy Milk. Hmm, guess the Quaker Oat is going to launch a new series of health drinks. The taste is very good but the price..hmm..guess will be at the high side. Get RM50 forthe 45 minutes survey.

The second survey is in the focus group form. A group of 7 of us, sat down, chit chatting and dicuss in an very informal way. It is really fun and I can earn RM100 for the 2 hours discussion. Wow.... The discussion is all about our teatime. Hehe, Pizza hut is going to launch their teatime set and I suppose we can give it a try.

Melaka 1 Day Trip

It was a long christmas holiday. I didnt went for the count down celebration as i HATE the "spraying" thing. Hehe. At Sunday morning, we went to Melaka for 1 day trip. All things was great except the satay celup!

It was almost 2p.m. when we reach Melaka Town. The traffic was very bad along the way from Seri Kembangan to Ayer Keroh Exit. There are ppl going to Seremban, A' famosa, and Mlk Town.

We have our very first meal - Chicken Rice ball once we arrived. The chicken taste good, hmm, chicken rice ball is okay ...hmm, the bean sprouts is great. Hehe.
Overall rating- 3.5 stars out of 5.

Then, we go to Baba Ny0nya Musuem. It is great place to visit. RM8 per entries for adult. There is "tour guide" explaining to us the building structure, decoration and Baba Nyonya traditional custom. For you guys information, I am have 1/8 Nyonya genetic running inside my blood. Haha, my father's grandmother is a nyonya. Too bad that we couldn't take photo inside.
Overall rating- 4.5 stars out of 5.

The next stop is the cendol ice at Jonker Street. The cendol ice is okay okay. The the gula melaka is very rich in coconut flovour but the only thing personally I think spoilt the taste is the Santan in packet .
Overall rating- 4 stars out of 5.

Then, on our way from Jonker Street to the "Red House", there is a stall selling hand made Dodol, it is very fesh and less sweetness compare to the mass production dodol.
Overall rating- 4.5 stars out of 5.

The "red house" is beautiful. There is a little windmill and the building is unique. Along the way, we can see a lot of tricycle decorated beautifuly to fetch the tourist. I didnt ask for the rate, but managed to snatch few photos with the "Beca".
Overall rating- 5 stars out of 5.

After that, we walked few street aways to taste the so call famous satay celup. Arriving at the first restaurant, we can see there was a really long que which we decided to go for the next which is not so "famous" thinking it might be more or less the same. God, it was the bad memory we have and ruin up our good mood of the day. Service was bad, food not much variety, and the sausce was really oilly and dark in colour.
Overall rating- 1 star out of 5.

The we go to Jonker Steet again to visit the Night Market that only held on fridays and weekend. Ver happening market. A lot of special stuff that we can't see on the normal night market at KL. I have a chocolate dipped grappes, taste ok.
Overall rating- 4 stars out of 5.

The last places we initially planned to go is Portugis Village to taste the Portugis food. However, we lost our way to take our car and we go one big round. Our legs were tired and our stamache were hungry. Then we decided to just have our dinner "char kuey teow" at the stall beside the shoplots. Probably, we were realy hungry, the smell was so good but once we eaten few spoon of the fried kuew teow, we acttually feel full and realize that it was actually a normal one.

That "char kuey teow"conclude our trip. But overall, it is a sweet memory. Hehe, and I suppose it was my early Birthday celebration though.

7.12.08 Sokka Day Charity Bazaar

Last Sunday, I participated in a charity bazaar organised by SGM.

And guess how much my "stall" manage to get...hehe...almost RM400....
Basically, the charity sales go like this
  1. We contribute our unwanted stuff, brand new or used

  2. Early in the morning, we brought our "ka chang"(tables, chair, rack) ourselves to set up the booth.

  3. We display all our things and start our "lelong sales".

  4. 50% of the money we get will go to cultural and eduacation fund.

  5. The bazaar started at 9.00a.m. ended at 12.30p.m.

Hehe...i managed to bring home RM50.00 ... feel so good..kill 2 birds with a stone (earning money and doing charity at the same time)!!

In line with our stall slogan that day..

" We are pretty; We are smart; and We are doing charity!!"

IKEA

I went to Ikea last Saturday. My last visit prior to this is 2 years ago to hunt for some furniture for my bro's new house. I remember that 2 years back it was really impressive me with the theme and design for every part of the house.

Since the management change, it was really bad. You can hardly see new arrival items. The theme and design is basically the same. Hmm...

No wonder until now, I still haven't received the 2009 catalogue.

Why China??!!

Many of you might asked or curious, why is that all of my travel destination are in China??

Ahherm..Let me tell you why.
  1. Lower currency convertion rate RM1- RMB1.88(last time was Rm1-RMB2). I've been thinking to go to Australia, but the living standard there is very high compare to Malaysia and the currency conversion rate is AD1-RM3.1. Due to budget reason, no at the moment.
  2. Air Asia covered destination. China is one of the country that Air Asia covered most of the popular tourist destination.
  3. I am so familiar with China culture and the southern part of China (Guang Zhou, Shen Zhen, Dongguan ) due to my previous job exposure.
  4. Safer place compare to other 3rd world countries in Asia. We always hear a lot of potest, boming incident in Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia. China, so far so good.
  5. We as chinese feel welcomed by the country as we shared the same language and same skin colour. We have totally no communication barrier in there.

So, anyone out there, need a tour guide for China trip?? I might be the suitable candidate and you just need to cover my transport, accomodation and food. hehehe. Tour guide service are absolutely free of charge!!

Air Asia (Free Seats,No Fuel Charge)

Now Everyone Can Fly!!

Those Malaysians who likes to travel have to really say thanks to Tony Fernandes!

I saw the advertisment at the night on 11th Nov, Air Asia is giving away 500,000 free seats from 12th Nov to 16th Nov ..and started from 11th Nov, there will be no fuel charges on all flights.

Wow, what's an impressive offer! Hmm... I doubt how true it is, will we be charging higher on the admin fees and airport tax??

I decided to check on the fees (tax and admin) before the offer. The fees to China, will be around RM160, so if I pick the free seats for return tickets, I'll have to only pay RM160+ luagage fees+ food and travel insurance. Seems within my budget!

I told dear: "well, since we both have RM200 air asia voucher, why not we go for a holidays?" He mentioned to me before, no travel in Year 2009 as we have to keep budget for our house renovation in mid of Yr 2009 and also early of Year 2010, we have to go to Taiwan for pre-wedding photo shooting.

After some discussion, we come into a conclusion. If the air fares (all in) below RM200, we will go for that otherwise, sorry, no budget. Keke.

We did somemore thinking then and feel that we are too selfish to go ourselves. Our parents work for half of their lifes to growth us and they don't even have chance to go to oversea as frequent as us. We decided to bring 'our' Mums together. As usual both of our Papa a bit "anti-social". Haha, they are not interested in travelling with us.

12a.m. strike, I log into airasia.com and search for the free flights. Expected, the traffic is heavy and it took few minutes to go in to another page and somtimes it will hang on the page. I chant hard and hope I'll get the free seats on the date I chosen. Destination- KUL-> GZHOU, Date- 2nd Sept to 7th Sept.

Lucky us, free seats at first click! RM200 all in per person and return tickets for 4 of us only RM800. Wow!! The whole process took me 1 and a half hour , we get everything done at 1.30a.m.

China QingDao-时尚芭芘婚纱

I was surveying my wedding gowns selection for my actual day and come across this Bridal Studio in China in "Taobao". According to forum, this website is reliable and they have actually bought the gowns from this site before.
I chat with Jessie, the studio owner via MSN and she is a nice girl and very helpful indeed.
After go through their product galary, I've shortlisted item below:

~This is the tuxedo that I chose for my baby-RMB199~

~This is the gown I choose for my Actual Day- RMB150( 2nd hand)~I love A line dress.

The price is very reasonable, in fact it can be called as 'cheap'. Haha.

I am very happy and asked Jessie to quote me the postage fees. She confirmed the weight (5kgs) and decided to use 圆通快递-RMB260.

WEDDING GOWNS

I am really headache with my wedding gown and evening gown for my actual day as my package with Very Taipei is only for the photo shooting.

Well, I've surveyed around, the rental of these gowns is not cheap. the average prive for rental average range of 1 wedding gown+ 1 evening gown +1 groom coat is around RM900- RM1000.

Will this cost extra for us? Photo shooting package RM3XXX + Actual day gowns RM1XXX + Car Decor/ Flower bouquet/ Accessories RM5XX= RM4XXX. Hmm, seems like not within our budget. In fact this is our concern when we signed up the photo shooting package!

So, I decided to do more study in the forum, to see how can I cut the budget, even a little bit here and there will do. As what malay always say: Saving a bit and a bit will become a mountain (sikit sikit menjadi bukit)

Rush Decision

That Friday, he called up and asked: "Baby, still remember that I told you this week there is a Bridal Fair at Mid Valley?" I wonder why he suddenly so interested in this kind of fair as I think he never think about our wedding before.
Feeling weired yet I said yes. There was suddenly a heavy down pour at the evening and I suggested to cancel the plan as I told him that no hurry to visit this kind of fair as we do not know when is our wedding day and we never planned of it but yet he insisted.
When we were there, there was not much ppl. We went inside and looked around. I pointed at one big poster saying: " Baby (this is how we address each other) , see there are Bridal Studio from Taiwan & Hong Kong!" I am so excited, in fact I told him long time ago that I wish to go to Taiwan for Pre-Wedding photo shooting + Pre- Honeymoon., and he always answer "See how first, our house going to be ready, have to spend a lot of money for renovation!" Haha, this is him, my dear baby, whenever come to money, his face will twist.
When we by passed the counter, 2 girls came to approach us: " 嗨,先生小姐您好!过来看看我们家的婚纱照吧, "非常台北",有听过吗?!" We looked at each other for a second and sat down at a round table. Well, we like the style and angle of shooting of their photographer. Of course, we like the scenery in Taiwan- 淡水,渔人码头,熏衣草园....etc.
We told them that the type of photograph style and effect we like. Then, here come the most interesting part. The package detail! They asked us how many poses we like, how many gowns we want, this and that but we have totally no idea as we were both mentally not well prepared for that, but I just acted like I am that kind of expert. As you guys know, I am a buyer and I will never be scared of that kind of situation. I question them back: how many poses you can offer?
I just bargained "kau kau" with them though I am not interested to sign up. After the bargaining session, we come out with a conclusion on the package detail:

1.)Gowns:-WG: 3 Pcs ; EG/Themed costume: 2 Pcs (PS)

2.)Coats & Shirts (For groom):-1 set of White Coat + Pants, 1 set of Black Coat + Pants

3.)Photos PS: 60poses (30 poses-Album Size: 12" x 18"; 30 poses-Album Size 10"X15" ;Che Mui Photo-20 Pcs,2 Poses ; 3" x 5" (Full page, 30poses, same with the middle size album)

4.)Makeup & Hairstyle: 5 different make up and hair style to match with the gowns.

5.)Other Makeup Hidden Cost:

  • Ampules-RM50/ bottle
  • Eye lashes-FOC
  • Body Foundation-FOC
  • Hair Spray-FOC
  • Silicon Bra-Not included
  • Taxi + Driver Fare (for outdoor)-RM270 for 5 hours
  • Postage Fee RM300

6.)Free Gifts:

  • 20" x 50" ( with frame).
  • 300pcs of thank you card with our photo.
  • DVD Slide Show, 1 pc with Song and special effect.
  • CD, All 60poses soft copy after touched up.

We agreed on the above package and asked the lady boss to quote us the price.

"我现在给你们一个包你们满意的价钱!" said the lady boss! She writes the price on a piece of paper and told us not to read out. (I guess what she want to show us by doing this is that the price is very attractive).

RM3XXX.

Oh, not bad, i mumble inside my heart. However, due to my job spirit , I can't stop to bargain a better price, I don't know why, in fact I am not ready to sign up any package! He just looked at me and let me do the job!

Finally, she offered RM2XXX. Good deal and he agreed! However, she insisted us to pay for the deposit while we are not ready, we told them our wedding day will be on someday in 2010 but she said there is no expiry date for the package.

We struggle very much and afraid that there is no more good deal like this in future! (Oh, photo Shooting in Taiwan only RM2XXX??Make no difference with Malaysia package price On the other hand, we afraid we have made the decision too rush and will regret one day! After 3 hours negotiation and chit chatting, we still couldn't make any decision! The boss (should be son of the boss, 老板的仔)Ray, come to approach us and said: " You guys pay the deposit now, if after doing some thinking, you guys not satisfied, I'll return the deposit to you!"

With his word, baby immediately agreed and pay for the deposit. I understand my dear type, he always told me that if little money can buy the knowledge of a person character, he won't mind!

A brief introduction on the title of this blog- h@ppy2wo.

Basically, this is "our" blog but I am the editor of the blog. In here, we will be sharing significant or tiny issues that we concern about.

The blog wull be devided into few main sections.

1.Our new house (Soon-to-be, still under construction) @ Setia Alam.

4. Others

  • All the happy events around us.

As mentioned in the "About Me" section. This is a personal blog, you may or may not enjoy reading them. All the friends are more than welcomed to visit the blog or even leave a msg. However, if you do not have a good time reading this, pls leave immediately!

Started to be a Blogger

I know it is a bit late. People that in the same age group with me might have started to blog N years ago.

Well, I never think of bogging. Not my type. Sitting there and telling ppl my life or sharing tips. I have to admit I am kindda lazy type of person. My activities when I am free will be sleeping, eating, and doing nothing. (For me, doing nothing means wondering!!)

Few factors drive me to blog.
  1. New job is great. I've so much time surfing the net.
  2. We (the 2 ppl that do not have any bilogical relationship but yet share the closest relationship) would like to record and file all the sweet memories we've cause it is belong to us and nobody can steal it from us even the old age! :-P
  3. We are facing the evolution from "teenager" to young adults. It is hard and tough and there are so much thing to learn. We would like to share tips and Jo's philosophy (I sounds like a philospher ya) that I've developed along the evolution stage here.
  4. AND last but not least, we'ld like to update our dear friends out there, our latest life story and events. Dude, we are so far yet so near. (I'll try to update everyday if possibe, therefore you can actually see our diary live online-muahahaha.)

Let's congrate us for having this very first blog! We are happy and we will be happy forever!

P/S: You will only see all the happy things here cause I believe in this philosophy ( don't know who is the writer but I tried to manipulate a bit here) : When you are happy, write them on a stone but when you are sad, write them on the sand!
