IKEA

I went to Ikea last Saturday. My last visit prior to this is 2 years ago to hunt for some furniture for my bro's new house. I remember that 2 years back it was really impressive me with the theme and design for every part of the house.

Since the management change, it was really bad. You can hardly see new arrival items. The theme and design is basically the same. Hmm...

No wonder until now, I still haven't received the 2009 catalogue.

Why China??!!

Many of you might asked or curious, why is that all of my travel destination are in China??

Ahherm..Let me tell you why.
  1. Lower currency convertion rate RM1- RMB1.88(last time was Rm1-RMB2). I've been thinking to go to Australia, but the living standard there is very high compare to Malaysia and the currency conversion rate is AD1-RM3.1. Due to budget reason, no at the moment.
  2. Air Asia covered destination. China is one of the country that Air Asia covered most of the popular tourist destination.
  3. I am so familiar with China culture and the southern part of China (Guang Zhou, Shen Zhen, Dongguan ) due to my previous job exposure.
  4. Safer place compare to other 3rd world countries in Asia. We always hear a lot of potest, boming incident in Thailand, Myanmar, Vietnam, Cambodia. China, so far so good.
  5. We as chinese feel welcomed by the country as we shared the same language and same skin colour. We have totally no communication barrier in there.

So, anyone out there, need a tour guide for China trip?? I might be the suitable candidate and you just need to cover my transport, accomodation and food. hehehe. Tour guide service are absolutely free of charge!!

Air Asia (Free Seats,No Fuel Charge)

Now Everyone Can Fly!!

Those Malaysians who likes to travel have to really say thanks to Tony Fernandes!

I saw the advertisment at the night on 11th Nov, Air Asia is giving away 500,000 free seats from 12th Nov to 16th Nov ..and started from 11th Nov, there will be no fuel charges on all flights.

Wow, what's an impressive offer! Hmm... I doubt how true it is, will we be charging higher on the admin fees and airport tax??

I decided to check on the fees (tax and admin) before the offer. The fees to China, will be around RM160, so if I pick the free seats for return tickets, I'll have to only pay RM160+ luagage fees+ food and travel insurance. Seems within my budget!

I told dear: "well, since we both have RM200 air asia voucher, why not we go for a holidays?" He mentioned to me before, no travel in Year 2009 as we have to keep budget for our house renovation in mid of Yr 2009 and also early of Year 2010, we have to go to Taiwan for pre-wedding photo shooting.

After some discussion, we come into a conclusion. If the air fares (all in) below RM200, we will go for that otherwise, sorry, no budget. Keke.

We did somemore thinking then and feel that we are too selfish to go ourselves. Our parents work for half of their lifes to growth us and they don't even have chance to go to oversea as frequent as us. We decided to bring 'our' Mums together. As usual both of our Papa a bit "anti-social". Haha, they are not interested in travelling with us.

12a.m. strike, I log into airasia.com and search for the free flights. Expected, the traffic is heavy and it took few minutes to go in to another page and somtimes it will hang on the page. I chant hard and hope I'll get the free seats on the date I chosen. Destination- KUL-> GZHOU, Date- 2nd Sept to 7th Sept.

Lucky us, free seats at first click! RM200 all in per person and return tickets for 4 of us only RM800. Wow!! The whole process took me 1 and a half hour , we get everything done at 1.30a.m.

China QingDao-时尚芭芘婚纱

I was surveying my wedding gowns selection for my actual day and come across this Bridal Studio in China in "Taobao". According to forum, this website is reliable and they have actually bought the gowns from this site before.
I chat with Jessie, the studio owner via MSN and she is a nice girl and very helpful indeed.
After go through their product galary, I've shortlisted item below:

~This is the tuxedo that I chose for my baby-RMB199~

~This is the gown I choose for my Actual Day- RMB150( 2nd hand)~I love A line dress.

The price is very reasonable, in fact it can be called as 'cheap'. Haha.

I am very happy and asked Jessie to quote me the postage fees. She confirmed the weight (5kgs) and decided to use 圆通快递-RMB260.
